The Fun of the Game - Road Win Photos

Upon Further Review

Fun and interesting things happen in every game.  Upon Further Review will provide a brief recap along with a unique, interesting moment from the game.

Stuck on You

Coastal Carolina's Brigitta Petrenko (16) gets all of the ball in the match against Loyola.  The ball appears to stick right to her arms.

The Chanticleers took a hotly contested, 3 set match to move on in the Cavalier Classic in Charlottesville, VA.

Helmet Catch

John Gay (46) of Lafayette did his best David Tyree impersonation in the Leopards' loss to William & Mary.  It was a really good, close game except for a 6 minute stretch in the 3rd Quarter that opened the game up for the Tribe.

Pancake!

VCU conducted the annual Black & Gold scrimmage.  It was back and forth with Black coming out on top.  Although it was early in training camp the players looked fit and pretty sharp.

2018 All-American Jasmin Sneed looked good and her hops are still there as evidenced by several "spider-man" style hits and blocks.

In the image above Alyna Draper (6) and Qairo Bentley (11) watch Olivia Martin (8) go for the challenging, but awesome "Pancake Dig."  Get the hand on the ground and flat and the ball pops right up!

Looking forward to a great season from the defending A-10 Regular Season Champs!

Head Over Heels

VCU hosted VMI to kick off the 2019 Soccer season.  The Rams took it to the Keydets from the opening whistle and did not let up in a 4 - 0 victory.  Samantha Jerabek, from right here in Richmond, led the Rams with two goals, including a contested header between her and VMI's goalie.

Ellen McAdams (13) for VCU executed a fierce, legal tackle on Sierra Brewer (21) from VMI.  Brewer went into a somersault while McAdams was able to spot and pick up the ball.

Mine!

Communication is key!  Tyshawn Patterson (22) and Keith Clanton (33) fight for the rebound.  It usually works better when you fight the other team for the ball.  In the end, Team DRC came out ahead and beat The Web (University of Richmond alumni).
